PRESIDENT & CEO: Gevin J. McDaniel, P.E. has over nine years of design experience in structural and civil engineering. He has served as Engineer of Record, Design Engineer and Project Manager for a variety of bridge and building superstructure and substructure types. His bridge design experience includes conventional steel, standard and modified AASHTO girder, spliced bulb tee girder, precast slab, and segmental concrete bridges of span-by-span and balanced cantilever construction. His building design experience includes building of masonry, concrete, steel and timber construction. Other structural design experience includes specialty engineering services to contractors, design of deep foundation systems, design of shallow foundations, wind load analysis, design of retaining walls, sheet pile walls, concrete box culverts, and mast arm signals. He has also served as Engineer of Record for projects involving roadway/sidewalk design, site development and permitting. He is proficient in preparation of contract plans and skilled in Microstation and AutoCAD. CHIEF STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: Clark T. Williams, P.E. has specialized in structural engineering for over 30 years. He served for 18 years in private sector consulting, construction engineering and performing design/build projects with architectural firms, contractors and with the precast prestressed concrete industry. He also served for 12 years with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). For seven years at FDOT, he was responsible for the review and approval of major and complex bridge designs performed by consultants. Then for five years as the FDOT State Construction Structural Engineer, he assisted in the construction of those same bridges that he helped design. He has served as a Specialty Engineer to contractors for Value Engineering and Construction Engineering, and his field experience compliments his extensive design experience. SENIOR TECHNICIAN / CAD OPERATIONS: James A. Putnam has over 30 years of experience in the preparation of contract plans for bridges of all structure types. He began his career as an “on the board” draftsman with Illinois DOT and then progressed to AutoCAD and Microstation techniques at Figg & Muller Engineers, LoBuono Armstrong Engineers, and the Florida DOT. He brings a wealth of knowledge to McDaniel Engineering, Inc. regarding plan preparations, quantity calculations, estimating, specification production and shop drawing review.
